Soil and mulch calculator
For mulch, 5 to 8 cm suppresses weeds. For a new lawn, 10 cm of topsoil is common.
How it is calculated
Volume = area × depth. Bags = volume in litres ÷ bag size, rounded up. Loose material settles; add 10% if you want the full depth after a few weeks.
